It is starting to get hot outside and soon many homeless will die due to heat exposure.

Carry Cold bottles of water in your car in an ice cooler and give freely to those you meet both homeless and others.

In our lives, The G-D of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob blesses us with food one way or another.

Recently I have been blessed with food from my friends as well I was blessed with some leftovers from the “Soup Kitchen/Community Kitchen. That I have been preaching at for over 61/2 years, which is one of my volunteer jobs I do as the Community Rabbi here in our town.

A friend of mine bakes some sweet potatoes for me since my landlord cannot fix/won’t fix anything so I do not dare use my gas stove. If I did use my stove, the next sound I hear would be “KaBoom” after that I would hear enter into theJoy of the L-rd. While I love to see Yeshua face to face I rather not do it today. Lol

Starkis® Tuna in a pouch, leftover corn on the cob I de-hulk the kennels, Mrs. Dash® Garlic & Herbs seasoning, last, a can of Campbell’s® Cream of Chicken can of soup.

I mention the products name and I do not get any re-imbursement for product mention. I signed up for Helium® and wrote some stories for them of which I never am paid and looks like I never will get paid – they like to run you around. Word of advice never write for Helium of other like companies.

I like using better grade of food when I can and you can find bargains at times or “mega buy group”, which I talk about a lot.

So here is the recipe for Gplof/Cream T ChickCorn(T) © All Rights Reserved.

I have a small frypan/2 cup pan and an oversize lid use to keep heat contained.

De-cob/de-hulk corn,

Open can of cream of chicken soup, do not add water.

Open pouch of Tuna

Break up Sweet potatoes

Place all above in fry/saucepan.

Sprinkle Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning

Stir gently turning over contents with Tablespoon.

Place over medium flame, place lid on pan, cook for five minuets or until hot, stir gently often and keep lid on when not stirring.

CAUTION: always test food to make sure its not too hot to eat.

Poor into bowl and eat when cooled down some.

It will look like Cream of Corn.

I was surprised how great it tasted, Lol

Are You Homeless Yet?

Jus t as I predicted the coming recession is fast coming upon us. With Muslim controlling our Oil and pointing their weapons of war toward Eretz Israel, we are deep in do do.

Many will be majorly hit by this; all will get a taste of sadness.

We have to face the coming sadness since we have refused to listen and repent to G-D and now we see it on the Horizon like an out of control train.

Those who will be hurt the worst is those who have no home , no future, pray for the homeless and near homeless and serve them as best you can.

Why the need to get nation retail stores. The strength of Columbia is small local homegrown self-owned businesses not Wal-Mart type stores.

Once again, the government is destroying the value of Columbia so landowners and the city can make a financial plunder.

With mismanagement and a “police force "Gone Wild” as well of the shafting of the poor and homeless with the warehousing of homeless away from their resources. We are now sending Columbia into cultural and true value blight. What WERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY HIRE A “Retail Czar” for a town that free enterprise and those who Possess an entrepreneurial spirit is treated as criminals and marginized by a got to get rich culture that has destroyed the traditions we have been raised in. Look at Orangeburg, South Carolina and see how the Wal-Marts and National Chains have shut down homegrown people from owning their own piece of the American dream. This city, this state, this country not just government but also other citizens have open the way for foreign-born to easily step over us to establish retail establishment due to they are not forced to deal with the heavy handed government regulation we are faced with as Americans. Certain industries, business etc. in our state and nation are no longer open to natural born citizens of America. This is a sad day that the City of Columbia etc. and laid our lives into slavery. I say as my forefather Moses would have said: said centuries ago “Let My (entrepreneurial) People Go into the promise land of South Carolina and All of America for we are not allowed to own as the foreign borne do in their countries. Let's us return Columbia into the great city she is.

walking faith

Three examples of walking faith in Judaism we call Halakah. Basically it means to walk out your faith/belief in a real and tangible way. It is our center piece of our Life a sJews. Since “Christianity” came out of Judaism it is to hae the same but as the universal Church became controlled by gentiles and not Jews its Scope and Messiah changed and that why the “Reformation” took place. Christianity became a religion of attendance and Litergy and not a religion of Agape Action..

First Example: Francis Shaffer once said and was a title to one of his books, “How shall we then live.” This means that if the Bible is true and we are suppose to live our life by its dictates then how shall we live

This is Christmas time and many are going to advent services and even Midnight Mass etc. but is this what being a believer in G-D is? Do what we say we believe is really what we believe or are we just blowing hot air?

Numeral times in Scripture it dictates that we are to give our lives for G-D & others especially those who are poor and homeless. Is this really, what is going on in “Christianity? The answer is No! The Bible to most who claim to be christian is simply a nice book to read for Sunday school class etc. and not living by its treasured words. We have not allowed our life and lifestyle to follow Scriptural mandates if we did, the world would not be in the mess we are in.

We have turned our life focus on G-D, rather than our neighbor or us. When we are in trouble or have needs, we will do everything in our power to get what we need but not raise a finger to help those in need and are are struggling to have stability and dignity in their life’s.

We have so many resources and talents in our life that we do not share to help others share what we have to help living an unbiblical lifestyle that forces us to work more than G-D mandated in Scripture.

Famous Charismatic preachers are living unbiblical lifestyles and have been called on it by a US Senator from Kansas who has demanded financial records from the biggest names in Charismatic Christianity. He says wants to see that money is well spent but in doing so the Senator has violated federal law.

Look and see if these 6+ preachers are really living what they preach as Scriptures demands?

1. Yeshua’s (Jesus’) mission was not to build an earthly kingdom but rather to build human heart disciples to spread the True Gospel and not to build Palaces of Power.
2. Yeshua (Jesus) sent out 72 disciples and said not to take extra clothing, money etc.
3. To allow private individuals not government to supply a minister’s need of food and shelter as well as to work for ones needs.
4. Reaching out to G-D and being blessed by what is needed by the looks of those on the Senators list do not make the heavenly list.

Millions are struggling because the church continues to refuse to be the church of scripture in a real and tangible way. Society trapped itself by their hunger for government giveaways and free monthly checks. The church has long ago negated its responsibility by making the government to be the church of real life rather itself by not standing against the secular world and refusing the providence of G-D!

Holiday for the Homeless

Christmas/Messiahmas is the Holiday for the Homeless ETC.

Many times, I have heard sermons on Christmas about the Christmas Child and all nicety etc. but the reality of the whole story is about a homeless family!

They did not have permanent housing they did not even have a hotel room. They were squatters in a barn. Their downfall started when they obeyed the edict of a tyrannical government. This is what happens when you rely on the government for your substance and direction that you end up being in the cold!

By the provisions of G-D they received the first Messiahmas gifts and historically the gifts were sold so the family could make safe passage away from a murderous government. It sounds like our world governments today.

For years, this family was homeless and forced to live in a country that was not their own. After years, they returned to their own place but years later, this special baby was murdered was for our sins so we can have life eternally. What have we done to thank Him for this?

What did this Christmas baby do to deserve death only to protect us from our sins and eternal damnation?

We go through life and not give this special child our love and care but rather we turned his birthday into a “GETmeUS™” holiday, how sad this all is.

This year get out of your comfort zone and connect with others to redeem lives in the Love of G-D to those who have little or no hope. The life you redeem may be your own.

So this year and every year find homeless people and street children and give them gifts for after all it is their holiday. Merry Messiahmas (Christmas)

Here is my response to the above story.

My problem is all the federal funds that is being used on this housing. The federal government wants to be the caretaker of the world.

Money forcibly extracted by a run amok pork-spending government needs to have its spending teeth extracted.

We do not need George Bush faith waste spending but rather allow families to help those who need help & private money will go to projects than the disenfranchised neighbors that have compassion can have a voice and help personally

What saddens me is the lack of human compassion by the self-loathing greedy people in town and in this forum. I wish with a magic wand have them change lives;Then all would see the other side.

Let us not forget what this season is all about one homeless baby whose parents were forced to live with farm animals, what a place to be born.

Yeshua/Jesus became homeless by leaving heaven to save our miserable lives to enable us to live in Heaven with Him. Be Thankful to G-D!!! Praise G-D for a decent bed and house, Amen!

What would happen if all a homeless person need to improve himself is to take one coursc But coolede waste too much money!!!

Too much moeny and no value schools, BUT What would happen if there were a FREE – NO COST tuition University?

What if, the there was two branches of a University, one was a physical college for those traditional students, and one virtual/ physical college for the non-traditional student,

The traditional one would be suited for the young students as well as He or she could still live at home and grow and mature in that setting.

The non- traditional college would be suited for working parents those who had to go to work to keep a roof over their head etc, never was able to go to college or to those who never were able to finish going to college.

What if both types of the university were totally free of tuition?

What if, this college was non-traditional in the sense that it be book and practical experiences courses, and different from the traditional colleges of today which are are book and test courses?

What if this was all free to the students? Overhead was paid for without ANY government money or grants. It would be priceless.

There are many former students that for one reason or another never able to complete college. Things happen. What if the person is denied a promotion because he/she does not have the degree. Sure, there are other colleges like Phoenix International but the cost of going is extremely high.

Many good people out there have written books on subjects they know but do not have the brand name to get their textbook into a college. Western brand education is stuck in nomads land and is all head knowledge heart knowledge.

The are innumerable homeless people that could use such a college, the same for countless others.

A strong educational background that knows how to read and write,science, math, etc and a strong biblical background is a must foundation to have a stable life along with a working income to be able to provide for ones needs and help other in the name of G-D.

I am Cinderfella

I just got off the phone with a person that by his own description lived on three continents and speaks three languages. He moved to this area got married and now is having to live the game to keep employed.

I too am not from here. People have been telling me I need to play the game, that is to manipulate people into giving money etc. by talking a certain way, dressing a certain way, just so I have a place to live, eat, etc. and when i refuse they then try to force me to leave town, this is sin

My heart is filled with sadness, People cannot see how they hurt each other and in particular, those that need work, etc. to get off the streets or from being thrown to the streets.

This person went on for over and hour and sometimes with a loud angry voice, accusing me of things saying I need to play the game. He wants me to walk around in a suit etc cut my beard, which is against my faith. Where am I going to get a suit let alone I have to walk everywhere, I need to go.

Being Jewish is who I am and the gentiles here cannot understand it. It is like nazi Germany all over again. I thought its illegal to be prejudiced

I do not know what to say, I am hurting so badly. My rent is due and it was supposed to be paid by someone for the work i have done, but its not, so now I have to face an angry landlord again.

When people will not hire you because of their own perceptions of who you are, your cdapcities, etc. you are no better than a slave.

When they will not give your a job because you do not bow low enough, say “yes massa (master) loud or quick enough. They want to hold control over you.
This town by his own and others definiton is different from any other town in the world. Even Jerry Springer wouldn't believe the way this town is!!!

I am so tired of being the N word here. Prejudices are much alive and petty here on both colors on the race coin here, both sides are equally predijucee.Yeshua/Jesus

I have a friend he wears his hair in a spike and colored. People make fun of him. If he cannot get a job because he is different, then why is it he is to be blamed for it? Am I Rip Van Winkle that sleep for years? Is this still not the United States of American? Are we not supposed to be free? If I had the funds, I hire him.
If you cannot get past what is on the outside G-D has not be able to get past your outside and into your heart either.

I do not know what is going to happen to me.I may end up living in a field because no one wants to give me a job because I do not conform to their standards. I guess that is what got 6,000,000 of my Jewish family killed in the Holocaust.

I do not want to judge people or mistreat them even when they mistreat me. There is a couple at the soup kitchen I minister at. He used to cuss at me and be mean, but all I do is pray (silently) for him and her. Now G-D has blessed they sit at my table making peace with me.

I am so tired of the antics of this community. They seem to forget that the War between the Sates (Cilvil War) is over,.

I am sorry for this saddness but I just got this place and granted its in dire need of fixing up etc. its home to me.

Pray and help the homeless and others that G-D has put across your path. No one knows how close that one may be to have no more options and they are wondering if its time to kill themselve's. I remember a friend here that killed himself, left a wonder little girl.

Please get past your oen bigotry and reach out to help and love.

One of the best things to have whether your homeless or not is the P – 38 US Military can opener.

It can be on a key chain and never needs electricity. There is a bigger model that is a few fractions of an inch longer and easier on your hand, you will see what I am saying when you use one. Most Army /Navy Surplus have them.

In the future, I will be sharing about making and giving out gift bags for homeless and poor people. P-38 is necessary need for the gift bag and a Swiss Amy knife as well.

This time of year people give gifts to family, friends, co-workers why not give gifts that need help. Please help the homeless and near homeless. It is a sad life, one that is filled with tears and sorrow.

Indoor Farming

Indoor Farming is great for:
Tenants and not allowed to have a garden or farm.
the winter time
those who just like to grow plants inside
For the elderly and handicap, that mobility is an issue.
those who do not like the heat and cold of the seasons
or just plainly want to grow plants veggies etc. without snoopy neighbors
Etc.

Everyday we loose more and more farmland and soon where are we going to get our food. By all the recalls, we see that China is not the place to get any kind of food or products. As more recalls/safety issues and high cost, consumers (that is you and I) are looking for alternatives. I have taught, debated, talked about living with natural/alternative ways for decades. It was not until the Muslims picked on us and bombed the World Trade Towers and a little vegetation plan (bush) got us into a war that many are now looking at alternative ways to live. Many will always just talk about alternatives but some of us are already living alternatively.

What are those alternative ways? Before World War I, the country was agriculturally based especially the South and West. That is what started the War Between the States or as they call it here the Northern Aggression. The north was industrial and the South was agriculture. The Union or North taxed products from the South (veggies) and if you did not pay the tax, you could not bring your product across the Mason-Dixie line. What would you do? If you did not pay the tax, your produce would rot and make no money.

The South was tired of it and fired on Fort Sumter. In my investigating that if the south waited and prepared more for three more years the South would have won. The CS Huntley proved that.

Now we are being forced into another civil war. We have been invaded by foreign soldiers that is illegal criminals that have come across to work in the farms to replace the workers was lost due to the War Between the States. Now we have Mexicans etc that they are not just doing farm work but also taking other jobs and forcing those of us that want to work not able to be employed.

Our culture is all changed and that the farming industry is being pushed south of the Border. From 1600 -1800 bad decisions who made of who to hire for labor. The first set of workers was Africans and now Latinos. One of the first things we learned in History class is the history repeats itself. We are now seeing history repeating itself.

We have neglected the ones that originally had this land and it is days before anyone even thinks about or says something about the Native Mexican except when some wants to complain about them trying to get a another Bingo Hall.

There is no forward vision in our country. WE all want the here and now and to hell with the future. Now we are paying the price for bad judgment. The forefathers and mothers brought in foreign nationals after we segregated marginalized and destroyed the culture and families of the original landowners (Native Americans), now we are doing it again. The Democrats are trying to repeat bad judgment part 2. Then when it fails, then they will blame the Republicans as Hillary and Kerry already does.

We are in such a mess and now poverty is all around us. We have closed our eyes to the destruction that non-caring liberal/democrats and rhino republicans produced, and forcing us true Americans us into a corner but now some of us are fighting back with Indoor Farming due to
Security concerns/vandalism – time after time you hear about someone’s garden vandalized and or uninvited guest stealing the produce.
Pollution from automobile emissions (of carbon Monoxide), factories, etc.
Stress release – after a hard day in the non-G-D culture we are in and being sexually harassed by both genders.
Health mobility concerns – it is easier to farm in a wheelchair and a plant table.
Terrorism – With liberal politician and a one-world government, you no longer have privacy and a President; I do not know which one is worse the Terrorist or our government.

Its time to take our country back and we are doing it one piece at a time.With the power of knowledge, Living Thrifty and G-D’s Love!!!

People are homeless. sad but true and they have feelings too.

People are homeless. sad but true and they have feelings too. I read and hear things from people saying, “Homeless should be eliminated” something like that makes me wants to be G-D for 5 seconds so I can clean house.

People have needs that they cannot change

To breathe – have you ever thought that everyone has to breathe rich and poor. If you are rich, does it make you more worthy to get a breath of fresh air? Someone who is poor and homeless don’t they too need to breath? On the other hand, since they are not rich they should stop breathing. The well-off people I deal with, rather the poor stop breathing so there is more air for them. I wish I was just joking about this but it is true! They don’t say it in those words to others but that is what they want.

To eat – I dislike food bank. Some people donate and those who do have the mindset that people should eat the food they pick out for them and the unhealthier the better. When you have to go to a “food bank”, you get into a situation that you are losing your dignity and your freedom. If you took well-off people’s money and force them into having to use a food bank they would not fare well. They want to be treated special. I think everyone is special as reach out to G-D and to each other with open hands and lives.

Some churches gives out food vouchers so that the recipient can go to the grocery store and make choices. We spend Billions of dollars on a food stamp program that is riddled with fraud and waste. Let us get rid of it and the church and private groups reach out and help.

If you are to have, a food bank let the receipt go down aisles like a grocery store picking up what they and or family likes to eat. Life is hard enough do not make it more difficult for them.

To Work – our society makes its it seem like it is a crime to work. They will tell you to go on food stamps but then complain about the high taxes the government charges. If a person goes on food stamps or some other government program, that money comes from taxes and the more people on the welfare etc roles

A person needs the opportunity to work. It helps their self-image and self-value as a human being.

May you come to understand in a deep and personal way with G-D’s passion on how to help others in a real and tangible way.

Countdown to Thanksgiving 2007

Thanksgiving when I was young was a favorite holiday for me with Arthur Godfrey, Macy’s Day Parade, and Mom cooking in the kitchen, but those days are gone. My Mom and Arthur are both dead. Macy’s Day parade seems to be a Hollywood glamour rock show and not the nice family parade it use to be with great balloon floats.

Since I been in Orangeburg it is the same old thing no family to share the day with. It is a sad day for the homeless and poor especially those of us that have no living families to spend the day with.

In the news Pamela Anderson, the Baywatch Babe is recently married and vegetarian is going to have a Thanksgiving feast for the homeless etc in Las Vegas. Read Here

I was thinking Pamela can’t be all that rich after all the financial draining divorce, etc. and we got to have as equally rich here in the Carolinas why doesn’t the rich here spend the day helping those who the day is just a another holiday to feel pain and rejection.

So remember the homeless and poor and make it a point to help physically and financially this year and next for you never know the homeless and poor may very well be you in the future.

Violation of these words is what happened to Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI, etc.
Now our own SC State Senator Brad Hutto is doing the same again in his attempt to covertly regulate the Internet and private businesses.

Brad’s assumption is that South Carolina State government must be in competition with private business and or if possible block private businesses from operating under their own directives. It is sad that Brad is well known for using untruths, legal maneuverings, etc. to try to persuade the voters, citizens and powers that think they be, to his, and other’s Democrat liberal plans.

One of the latest cases is Brad while being an attorney and SC State Senator representing SCDOT (South Carolina Department of Transportation) which is a conflict of interest against a private landowner, over a simple placement of a retaining pond in St. Matthews. Brad and SCDOT attempting to block the landowner’s placing the planned but not yet existing retaining pond in the back of the property out of the way and where the front of the property will be more useable.

Cornerstone makes thrifty and saves on Building expenses

Great things are soon to be happening In Orangeburg. For over two years, Winn-Dixie Corporation has left Orangeburg and has left behind a huge building on Chestnut in their wake. The building remains vacant while many rumors have floated of whom the next occupant will be. While rumors of Target and other big box stores have come and gone, no one has moved in, but that soon will all change.

Sunday November 11, 2007 during the three morning services, Cornerstone Community Church Pastor Artie Davis announced to the congregation that Cornerstone is buying the old Winn-Dixie on Chestnut Street to house the church with a possible move in date of fall of 2008 after the massive remodeling of the building. To many this would be a humongous undertaking but Cornerstone is in its tenth year and steadily growing. According to a church officer that the sanctuary is, about 80% occupied in the two of the three services and has to either build a new building or move to a larger building. Their prayers been answered at 1481 Chestnut Street with 48,400 Square Feet of room, which is several times larger than Cornerstone's present building but Davis reported, “that with the expected growth the building would be well used. “

According to Cornerstone Community Church Pastor Freemon Thomas, “Two of the three annex buildings are now housing some of the youth activities and the third one will soon be called into service for the youth of the Church.”

In my investigating Cornerstone does take an interest in being a well run mechanism to serve G-D and His people. Many have tried to be a church similar to cornerstone but have not paid attention to details such as highly visible parking attendants, connection groups where you feel connected not left on a string, and all ages Youth groups to meet the spiritual needs of the children. Cornerstone has re-invested in itself and that sees to be working.

While many churches in Orangeburg are feeling the pinch of declining membership rolls and have started a contemporary service similar to Cornerstone yet roils are still declining, Cornerstone is growing by leaps and bounds with no end insight. Cornerstone has seemed too taken the time for details and peer fellowship one thing that the churches in Orangeburg has neglected. Pastor David Yonggi Cho of Yoido Full Gospel Church (Assemblies of God), The largest church in the world. started this concept and his church has grown in South Korea by mega leaps and bounds.

The next question is will the old Winn-Dixie be large enough in two to three years for Cornerstone.

Many churches have tried to imitate Cornerstone’s worship service, and have failed because the secret of Cornerstone is the connection of fellowship. Once Cornerstone gets hold of the scriptural mandate of Matt 25 34 – 46, helping their own members and non-members in their needs and crises. Emulating the love of 1 Corinthians 13 also standing up for the Jewish people, the spiritual energy behind Cornerstone will fathom any church in the south maybe all of the Fifty States, Just watch and see.

Rent food, utilities, etc. is all within reach to a homeless and or poor person.
It is all so simple but to the multitude of people, that help homeless people etc it is not spoken about.

Simply this > Help them find suitable work < duh! While much talk is about giving them welfare checks etc. the thing most needed and desired by homeless and poor people is to get them suitable work.

If you noticed I said, “Suitable work” Time after time I have seen homeless people screamed out by hate-filled people “get a job” Even goody two-shoes wonder why you cannot get a job.

Employment is hard to come by especially if you don’t have all the resources you need to acquire employment (Phone, an address, Place to bathe, transportation, etc. ) people also have certain limitations both physical, mental, etc. People may not have a good talent to count numbers so a job at McDonalds™ or a retail store would not be best and if hired they may not last two weeks. You have to listen to the person; he/she is a person and needs to be heard of the direction and job they want to acquire.

Many may need to go back to school to get GED etc. to be employed in the field they desire to be.

It is their life and not yours. They are the ones trying to get a job not you and so let them decide; after all, they are the ones that have to get up everyday to go to the job they choose, not you.

Many people try to force people in need to make decisions forcing them against their will, this is so sad.

We must love them and assist them not drag them.

Tonight I had a can of beans for supper

Tonight I had a can of beans for supper actually its all I ate all day except for a P&J. I drained off all the water/juice and had an old bottle of hot barbeque sauce, left over parmesan cheese in packets from Pizza Hut™. I call it “Beans & Cheese”. It was good but now I am hungry again, I must have thought I was eating Chinese food.

The receipt goes like this

One can of beans I had.
Add a couple of good drops of sauce. I had some store brand hot BBQ sauce I bought for 99 cents that was on special. A couple of big drops of BBQ Sauce. (Couple, that means “two” to those who do not know what a couple means) (You be surprised no one under the age of 30 knows what couple means.)
Two slices of good bread. G-D blessed me with Pepperidge Farm’s™ bread. It s day old but its still great.

This is good cold if you on the streets but Praise G-D I have a house with a gas stove so I was able to heat it up.

Cooking instructions:
Open can and drain beans
Put drained beans in cooking pot.
Tear bread in small pieces and add with beans.
Put enough BBQ sauce in to moisten beans and moisten bread.
Stir mixture; add more sauce as needed.
Cook mixture until hot and remove from stove.
Stir in black pepper to taste
Open packets of cheese and sprinkle heavy over the mixture.
Eat, and enjoy

When you are poor and almost homeless, you do what you can to eat. It has been a week of chasing people down that has not paid for work. Rent is coming up this week and all you can do is just keep trusting G-D for the best.

In Orangeburg, we do not have the visible homeless as in other cities so you do not have the visible opportunities to help. Homelessness is more visible when you are in Atlanta even Columbia. Here you see only glimpses of destitute poverty.

Most churches here do not have programs for the poor and homeless but refer the unfortunate person to CCMO (Co-operative Churches Ministry Organization). While CCMO is, a good program it is for today's need not long term help as long as you need organization and that is what is needed. The government has welfare and a check if you prove you are “mental” but to the ones that need a hand up not a hand help is not here in Orangeburg, never has and most likely never will.

Not to pass judgment but I have been in this type of ministry all my adult life as well as lived a simple life as well you know what works and what does not.

The first thing that “do-gooders” as they are called on the streets is to try to take your dignity and pets from you, I know this personally.

People will help you only in the framework they want and to h _ _l if it helps you or not.

This is a sad blog today but it is getting hard to get others to truly help others and not only for their own self-serving enrichment.

When Yeshua/Jesus was here, he went out of his comfort zone to help anyone he could. Today the church is open for and hour or so and then when the show is over they pass the plate. “Don’t want the preacher to be homeless you know.” It is no wonder why false religions have taken over and Hollywood churches are ranking it in.

We have to get back to being a servant to help feed the poor, helping the children, widows etc. This earth is not our home and our relationship with G-D must include having relationships with all of his creation both humans, animals, land, sea and air.

Sit back, reflect and ask G-D how you and others can make a difference.

Think Soup

My mind lately is on the coming winter. We need to plan for it as to make our life more Thrifty. In thinking ahead, I think of Soup. While Campbell’s make a good soup (notice I said good not great) I like making my own. When compared to a tiny can to a huge pot of your own making the thriftiest way is to make your ownsoup.

Think Crock Pot

The best way to the simplest and me is to use a crock-pot. It is not large enough to make soup for a huge family but you can let it cook all day and that is the major advantage of it. You let all the veggies seep and become softer allowing the juices to intermingle. You put it all together in the morning and by dinner time its ready to serve.

Think Experiments

One great thing about cooking soup etc. is you can try different ways of cooking it. True you may end up with a disaster meal/soup but you may also get something that is so good it will become a family tradition. Do not be afraid to try to see how others have made a great pot of soup. Email me and let me know of your great winter soups and or dishes.

Her thought is that we need to listen and not judge the homeless, poor, and not reason why they are having a hard time. “Only by the grace of G-D goes I” which is saying I could be homeless or poor by for some unknown reason G-D has not had me walk that life. What does one have to do to get ones self back on solid ground? I recently faced this question. There is a lot of people in this world that just can’t connect the dots more securely than others whose life is not a bowl full of cherries yet others will malign them as if its there fault when tragedy sweeps at them.

One of these days, I will teach a course on how to help others. The first lesson is to get your fathead out of your ___ and let others be. This is to say you cannot help others walk if you got your death grip around their neck.

When people “try” to help others especially those who are “beneath their dignity or economic level they usually have an agenda. People just do not want to help you because of kindness or just because “Jesus” told them to; it is because they have an agenda. I have seen it time and time again that when others help you it is to drag your face in it or to show how pious they are to others.

People have to realize that in helping others with an agenda don’t get brownie points in heaven but it will help them grease the way to Hell!!!

Mostly people do not see the terrible ways they are doing to others. For they will give a hand but expect 10 hands back.

Recently one of these people who have helped me get out of this “should be abandon house I lived in, got after me for speaking so negative about the town I live in my other blogs. I asked her if anything I said was not true and she replied that everything I said was true but she thought I should candy coat it. I guess that is one of the benefits of being Jewish because of my stiff neck attitude a lot of time. I believe if it is bad, it needs to be revealed. Even at the cost of hurting ones one situation. This same person and family will not have me eat with them because I refuse to cut my beard. My beard is a BIBLICAL sign of my covenant with the Almighty. I tried several times to explain this to them but to no avail, so when they go off and eat with friends and family I am left to eat alone. This is not what Yeshua/Jesus Died For!!!

We live in this world as if the Bible is a “nice book” but lack value to real life what it says contrary to 2 Timothy 3:16

When you help others as the Jewish way when we help that is the end of our concern. If we can help we help, then we do not hold it over them.

The holidays are coming up and many like myself is just another day hoping it will end soon for we have no one to spend the day with. It is time to look at your lifestyle and see if it is unbiblical and hurts the ones that Yeshua/Jesus died for.

It's time to get off the fast unnatural lane. Life used to be simple and sweet and now even with technology life has become too competitive and unfriendly. This is to say that its not tech fault but rather people have become to modern/com temporary not caring and holing up to their own kind/family.

I am from Colorado and life in the western slope was more natural & friendly. i guess it comes from the ruggedness of the physical enviorment and the true changes of the seasons.

In the harvest time of July /august you pick apples/ etc. and preserve them for the long winter. you start to winterize your home by stocking up wood and food.

those days here in South Carolina and maybe else where is not seen anymore. The tele-evangelist have taken over and those sho feed the poor and homeless in the city parks are criminalized.

Here in Orangeburg the seasons really don't change its just usually too hot or too cold, granted that the cold is not like back home but rather its rather unpleasant.

During the winter I usually live in only one room in the house to conserve on utilities. Here i have never had a fireplace or a wood burning stove. I am all alone so i don't can because i don't have the cookware i need or the people to share preserving with. Canning to most is just passe' anymore.

Winter is coming and i am at loss because i really don't want to be here no more. My heart and mind is in Philippines where there is less seasonal change than here in Orangeburg.

Getting ready for the seasonal change can be exciting but also tiring. It works better when a family works together to ready the home for the upcoming season. When spring approaches and the house cleaning begins, opening your indoor enviorment to a new warmer day. But now it's time to close down the foundation vents, clean the air filters, checking the furnace is in working order, clean the fireplace/wood stove. seal cracks and make sure the storm windows are closed. Make sure your family clean the house heater, replace the batteries int eh smoke detectors,planting the new crops you can harvest during the winter months.

Ah, yes winter is approaching are you ready? Making ready can make your life/lifestyle the thriftiest.

Doing Business with a Bad Business is Just Bad Business.
In my life, I come across different businesses. Some are unthrifty to do business with them due to high cost to deal with them and I do not just mean the price tag you pay at the counter. K-Mart® is a thrifty business to deal with in the bottom line due to the fact you go in and buy something and out the door you go and use the product.

1 – 2- 3 and you using the item you bought and that is the way that most places of purchase works, not so with a calling card company called Pringo.com owned by ibasis.

I have to call my family in Philippines and the thriftiest way for others and me is to use a pre-paid calling card. Calling cards are wonderful things you pay $20 and you can phone up to $20 in phone time. You do not get a bill at the end of month and no surprises. You pay how much you need then when the card is empty, the card is empty.

Last Saturday I paid for a $20 card and they gave me $5 card as a bonus. What I did not know is that it was a sham. They hold your money via your debit or credit card until who knows when and then and only will they release the card so you can use it saying they investigate your credit history and other things that they have not listed on their website etc. This is what is called fraud. They have had my money for 5 days and I did not get my 3 hours of talk time like their website promised.

The morel of the story besides never use Pringo.com is being thrifty is not just low of the shelve cost it is also the low cost of easy access cost.

You can get a product from K-Mart® and the cost of time to acquire the product as well plus the gas it tock to get the product etc. that is why buying music on the web can be thrifty due to the fact that you didn’t have to drive to the store and get the product you go to Apple’s® Music website buy a song via your debit or credit card and with in seconds you are listening to music.

With Pringo.com that is not true, you have to wait days before you get the card to make a call.

Reasons why doing business with a place like Pringo.com are just bad business:
1. Misinformation and no disclaimer revealing what hoops you have to jump over to use their product.
2. The department you have to use is only open a short time. 8am – 5pm (most people work during those hours.
3. Dual competing departments and the one doesn’t know what the other one is doing but gets all the complaints but can’t help the customer only the closed department can.
4. The customer is at the will and mercy of the company. Whoever said, “The customer is always right”, did not know about Pingo.com part of ibasis.
5. Not customer friendly but is they are themselves friendly.

Bottom-line is not to do business with companies like Pringo.com that have to many hoops to jump through to use their product.

Your time is worth money. Let say you make $10 an hour at the job you work at. Your other time/free time etc. is also $10 an hour. You time is worth money at work, home or play etc. So let say to do something takes you two hours to use a product your bottom-line cost is $20.

My bottom-line cost for Pringo.com is over $1,200+ due to the fact they have held my money for over five days and yet to give me the phone card.

Be thrifty with your money and do not do businesses that are like the five+ reasons of not doing business with Pingo.com.

Is there a Recession Coming?

We need to look at our life and assess our life and lifestyle and see if

#1 are we glorifying G-D

#2 Is our life and our home filled with material overload

#3 Put feet and life to action, to serve G-D and others.

Years ago, I belonged to a congregation that for some unknown reason, decided one Sunday to have a "bring to church stuff out of your closets/storerooms and give it away”. It was phenomenal it became a monthly event. People that had needs had their needs met!!!

Many people become short-term and long-term homeless because they do not keep their spending in check. People who use to be dirt poor and now are well off find themselves caught in this trap of spend, spend, and spend. When you get used to having money it just seems to roll right out of the wallet without nearly a thought and the ole plastic card help us dig an early financial grave.

What I have been saying is not new or rocket science; yet year after year more and more people find themselves losing their home and become the homeless people that they made fun of.

It does not take much to become homeless. You over spend; you lose your mate either through death or divorce, medical problems, etc.

In my blog “Thrifty Living in Carolina and Beyond™”, I write on how to have a thrifty life that may not keep you from being homeless but may place you on better financial footing then most people.

The western world seems to think that we own the right to live as rich and spending as possible. Most believers’ today think that a rich believer is a godly believer. In addition, vice-versa if you r are poor you are ungodly, nothing is farther from the truth.

We have allowed the rich TV evangelist to pollute the Gospel of G-D It all stated with “Revered Ike” we all laughed years ago about his “Green Power” we all marginalized him and his theology but look at Benny Hinn. I remember when Benny was doing his auditorium shows but look at Benny now!!! Benny at one time was very personable and friendly but now he is too busy to stop and talk. His show has taken over his life. Now his messages as well as most of the other Tele-evangelist etc. have made The G-D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob into a vending machine G-D™ (Word coined by Rabbi Dale ©1972 All Rights Reserved)
I remember when G-D’s name used to be G-D now its Prosperity and keeping up with the Joneses, is it not???

Its time to take back the theology of believer’s and become more like St. Francis. We have lost the quietness of G-D’s power with the noisy jumping church that is too buzy making money, allowing the government to rule over the church *If you do not believe that try to have a Shul/church and have to deal with the IRS etc.

We have to stop and look at the suffering servant we all need to be servants of G-D. When G-D allows us to have cash flow its not to bless yourself but rather to bless others. We should not have a house and car that is paid for, but like Jay Leno and his fleet of cars, that is not G-D’s way.

The bottom-line is that we need to quench or thirst on material stuff and have a quench to live fully for G-D and to help others and then our reward, which is in Heaven we will get.

Today assess your life with your family and reach out to others that have needs and bless them.

If your church is not a service to G-D and service to others Church then you need to find one that is.

Homeless is homeless no matter how many legs/paws you have.

In a local church bulletin, a parishioner had a stray 8-month kitten wander and stay in her yard. She I believe is allergic to cat fur and cannot keep herself but is asking those in her parish to adopt her. This kindhearted person took the kitten “Meeka” to the local vet to get all her shots. We all need to help homeless creatures no matter how many feet or paws they have.

I remember when we use to take care of each other. Sure, it is easy to help someone you sit with in congregation but what about the person that does not match your description of a person/human being. I have a long beard and yet people will not hire me because of it. I am discriminated by the very same people that say they Love G0D. One never knows that person that is beside you may be an angel as the scripture says.

Many will befriend a homeless kitten and never befriend a homeless human being that Yeshua/Jesus died for... These people will see that all that they thought did not do them an any good and will spend the rest of eternity in Hell. It is easy to take a can of food to the local food bank or write a check but that is as close to those dirty homeless or poor people that they want to get.

Here in Orangeburgh as well as other places across the state and country we just use a band-aid approach to things we really do not want to deal with and want the government to take care of it.

As you see in my previous post the government is ill equip to really handle the homeless situation and as is seen on the news more and more of the coming recession more homeless is on the way and may even be You as one of the new homeless.

Yesterday at the congregation where I sing in the choir, a leader of the church talked about the seminar, he attended on behalf of the congregation about getting them to have an emergency plan. You could see the eye rolling and the yawns of boredom all about. No one really was concern about the importance of being prepared for the next emergency. They all went through two hurricanes in the last 10+ years plus possible hurricanes. We went through an ice storm that knocked out electric power for week or more and many sat in the dark and cold but did not take action to be prepared for the next emergency.

In closing, should we not be concerned about where our community, state, country, hemisphere, world is going? In order to have a strong society is to help those that cannot help themselves. That is not to justify forcing solutions on the poor and homeless as adolf hitler did but rather allow them to explain the resources they need, for they know their life better anyone else and then help them what they think they need.
Yes, some will fail and some have hurt for so long that con jobs is all they know how to do with all the darkness in their heart. Help bring them to the light of G-D but remember even Yeshua/Jesus had his Judas.

Help the homeless no matter how many feet/paws they have.

Let me add some extra info about yesterday’s article.

I personally know and have worked/volunteered (all unpaid) with Jimmy and Christ Central; I was the leader of Kids Kamp in Orangeburg, Bible Teacher etc.

I know Jimmy’s wife and their son. I know Jason as well.

I know them to be of good character and truly do help others enable them to be able to help themselves.

I wish I could make all the North Main and Politicians Naysayers to be homeless then they would be pushing to get the new complex built.

It is sad sayings I have seen used by these type of people “Let’s help the homeless people - let’s help them out of our community”

It is an old Jewish saying “You help yourself by helping other’s that nobody wants to help.”

Columbia will always be a so-so city until people rise up & not politicians, to help with really help the lowest denominators in our community.

In response to the article in the State Newspaper about the future expansion: plans by Christ Central to house feed, etc, the homeless and poor: on North Main

.Jimmy Jones has more than done his share in beautifying Columbia, Wagener and other parts of South Carolina. He has proved that government is not capable or equipped to help those who have real needs of which the private and religious sector is better equipped to do the job.

Christ Central has for years have been at 2401 Main St. from this address countless people have received real help and real hope for a better future for themselves.

Now Jimmy Jones is under attack as well as those that need help by those who want to make a financial profit on others.

While government raises the minimum wage as well as taxes, more people are facing physical and financial dangers due to when minimum wages go up so do product prices. Those who fall by the financial wasteside now have a higher rung to having a stable life and become unreachable to them.

Now the city leaders, well off residents now want the homeless and poor just too simply disappear.

I was walking to minister at our Soup Kitchen at First Baptist Church here in Orangeburg, SC where I have been ministering for over 5 yrs &....

Well yesterday was not a Thrifty Day for me and this post may be a little off topic but here it goes.

I was walking to minister at our Soup Kitchen/Community Kitchen at First Baptist Church here in Orangeburg, South Carolina where I have been giving the message of hope for over 5 years and I was hit by a vehicle. I ended up in the traffic lane about 10 feet were I started from. The black female I will not say here name must have been on the cell phone etc.

I waited for the ambulance that never came and the police where more in the hyped up masculine mood for they where looking for an escaped convict. It happened right across the street where King Clyburn is to have his Transportation palace on Russell.

I didn’t get here name or anything so I may have to pay for the medical bill by myself since I have no insurance and pay for stuff my self.

I ended up at the hospital after the soup kitchen.

They the radiotech took a lot of “sexy” pics of my ankle and knees. Lol.

I tried to go to the Family Health Center but they wouldn’t admit me saying the emergency room at TRMC Hospital was where I needed to go. At Family Health Center I would have only had to pay a thrifty price of $20 but now I may have to pay a $1,000.

I am really in pain today and I spent thrifty getting a box of Aleve™ 24 Tablets at Bi-Lo. Where the name is they Bi Lo (w) and Sell High. But it was under $4 bucks and I hope I got the best thrifty deal. I don’t like buying generic in pain killers off the self, I just feel unknowing if it’s really a good product.

I had some kind of reflux attack I ate outside and I could barely breathe and it seemed I had a bubble of gas coming up my esophagus. I got this a little at the Soup kitchen after the accident yesterday and told the Physician (who also was Jewish like me.) but at the time he didn’t see it as life threatening, but now it seems like life threatening to me it scared me, and it happen just 30 minuets ago.

All in all I praise G-D I am still alive, Praise G-D!!!

Well the moral of the story is if you want to live thrifty lives don’t get in an accident and have to go to the hospital.

It’s hard to live a thrifty life if you don’t get enough employment to get insurance. People think I am to handicap to work so in Orangeburg you have to live thrifty of you perish from the earth.

Now I don’t know how I am going to pay for the Hospital bill I try to pay $10 a month for the rest of my life I better live till I am 393 years old, Lol.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I just off the phone from a person I have know for about as long as I have been here in Orangeburg. She went over and over how miserable my life is (As if I didn’t know that, Lol) she proceeded to say certain things I need to do to get a job – all of which I have done to no avail. One thing I have learned that those who are rich and well off have no idea what their little “advice hurts the poor and well is a waste of time.

I don’t want to pick on her personally so I won’t mention her name but she is one you would call rich. She doesn’t think she is but that is what the Bible calls her.

If people especially the rich really want to help the poor and homeless they need to get off their “Soapbox” reach into their resources and help them with the poor with the “help they know they need”, not the help that you “think” they need or with the help “you want to help them with” (and if they don’t accept the help you want to give then to “Hell” with them and you feel justified in writing them off) This is so sad and even evil that you think you “know” what they need, when in actuality you have not a clue the real help they need.

Yeshua/Jesus was extremely poor. He was homeless, so if you say you love Him and not love, the other homeless & poor people then you are a liar and the truth is not in you.

Reach out and help with them help they know they need.

Slumlords=Evil Landlords

Slumlords=Evil Landlords

It be okay if you lived in a somewhat slum of a place, but when your expected to pay a lot for a slum and have no mediator to help negotiate it really hurts.

This is why there are so many homeless people as well as people that go from place to place because here in South Carolina and especially in Orangeburg County when you rent and the place falls apart you have no recourse, thanks to The SC Statehouse, Magistrates etc.

Orangeburg has one of the highest unemployment in the state and probably in the nation. We have no Public Transportation, so you of off to bum a ride or walk. Employers want to know you have personal transportation and a personal phone or they will not even look at your application.

Be a champion for the poor and help them get rent they can afford and let’s get rid of the evil slumlords, by posting their names and making a slumlord act. We will all live better if these evil is gotten rid of once and for all!!!

Well it’s the weekend and where is the homeless and poor going to eat now?

Well it’s the weekend and where is the homeless and poor going to eat now?

We seem to think of ourselves and not of those who the weekend is just another day to scrounge for life out of dumpsters etc.

This week I was by CCMO which is the org that gives out clothes and food to those in need and someone left clothes donations outside in the back and a family with a really nice Chevy Blazer grabbed the donations and now you’ll probably see them selling them at the flea market or selling them on EBay. Those of us that needed those clothes now don’t have the options of them. I personally is desperately needing some pants etc.besides computer, internet connection, work etc. I yelled at them and took their license number I hope the cops will get them but DPS would not take down the information.

So remember those who have needs and if you are like me band with me and others as well try to get help not handout we all need.

Have a good weekend and go to your place of worship.

Praise G-D for my two angels

Being homeless or poor you don’t have a lot of options. You most likely don’t have a car or at least one that is super cool etc. ACwize, so you end up walking here and there.

Today it’s so hot my forehead is just like a waterfall. I really praise G-D that He sent 2 angels at 2 different parts of the day to stop and pick me up before I passed out and gave something for our Coroner Samuetta B. Marshall for something to do, Lol.

The first angels didn’t know me but she felt G-D wanted here to stop and pick me up. Praise G-D.

The second angel, Silvia, a friend of mine who just happened to have a day off in the middle of the week. We laughed because her boss usually has her work every weekday. It was a minor miracle she was off today. Praise G-D.

Most people of religious belief really don’t act on what they belief and this is so sad. I was talking to a store owner whose store I go to sometimes; we talked about what it means to say WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) which is a popular slogan for bracelets but many don’t really understand the implications or its meaning nor act on them.

If we say we follow G-D and Yeshua the Messiah we must truly reach out and follow Him by serving Him and others we may not even know.

Praise G-D for my 2 Angels who truly understood what WWJD means.

Let us look at our life and see if we are following a Westernized G-D or if we are truly following the Biblical G-D. Remember G-D doesn’t grade us for eternal life on the “bell curve”. It’s either “in or out” for Him and no second chance or makeup test for us.

It’s sad he has to leave the Nashville area to have a live with all the churches etc. in the area that could of helped, it took a friend to finally get Kevin a secure place to live.

Let us not judge but reach out to those who need assistance they way they know that will work for them.

You got to get past Matthew 7:1

It just gets my goat that people can’t get past Matthew 7:1. That is the scripture that says “Judge not lest you be judged”. Here in Orangeburg you got to look a certain way, plus be from here, as well as …… or you don’t get help and shuffled to the back of the proverbial bus.

Look at a homeless or poor person as a person that Yeshua/Jesus came and died.

When you reach out to help them help them as they want help not what you want to do for them. Do not belittle them nor takes their dignity from them.

Remember Matthew 7:1 and reach out with real help. Helping them to enable them to help themselves is G-Ds way.

Please stop judging others especially those who have less than you.

Don’t judge because of facial hair, long hair, poorly dressed, etc. Do you ever think that that person had to make a choice of either buying something to eat or buying some shampoo?

When you don’t get enough work top pay both DPU (Department of Public Utilities) Utilities Deposit, and your rent you have to pay rent to the evil landowner and live in the dark and hot or cold.

People out there trying to make a living for themselves and people prefer to think you are either too handicap, too old to work, too light skinned, too much beard, etc. so they don’t hire you and then you don’t have enough money to pay the evil landlord like the one I have now.

Life is tough. When you are alone or with a dog you still have two mouths to feed. Don’t give the notion that “well give up the dog” People are so vain and irogant.That poor animal brings more comfort to one’s heart and life that all the so called “Christians” around them.

Take the time and share a little money. See what a person’s needs are and help them help them the way they think they need help with & NOT the way you want to help them!!!

Don’t draw conclusions just Love the person as Yeshua/Jesus Loved them, He came and died for them; can we do no less?

Slumlords/ Slumlady Amongst Us

One of the main reason people become homeless is due to a bad even “evil” landlord or landlady. I have one now that wants too much money for a place he/she don’t fix and you do work for them and they don’t want to pay you nor take the money of your rent.

Here in Orangeburg South Carolina is a prominent problem. With no protection the landowner can do basically what they want due to you can’t afford a lawyer and the “Legal Aid Society” doesn’t help tenants (its as if they are paid by the landowner to not help the tenants.)

When you got to a store and you buy a product that is defective there is remedies in that you go back and either exchange the product or you get your money back. The auto industry will do a recall and make things right (if you catch them at it). But for the poor tenants has no barging power due to the SC Statehouse in South Carolina.

We must have the power to negotiate a reasonable amount of rent.

We the taxpayers need to stand up to the Statehouse and demand a change to give the tenant an ability to pay a fair price on a dwelling that the landowner refuses to fix. Give the power to the consumer as they have in other sections of the “retail/product industry”

Season of Change

Season of Change

We are now in the midst of summer and a lot of Homeless and Poor people have to face the pressure of being in the hot. As many of us do we go to the store and buy water in 16 to 20 ounces bottles for our families instead of the sugar carbonated drinks. In going to the store buy an extra box of bottled water and give to the homeless you see.

Sure there is Organizations that deal with the homeless but most are miss-ran and probably need to be put out of their misery, LOL. Individuals helping others and even a group of friends reaching out to the homeless and poor, we all can make a difference. We all are just moments away from being homeless if the plant closures, illness, etc. so let us not be so high and mighty thinking that it will never happen to us.

Sometimes the homeless are hard to see and may live with a person temporary or in their car if they are so blessed to have one. You may have a co-worker that is homeless and may not even realize it.

Soon the season will change and we will be in the cold and frozen again, so let us prepare for our own life and let us think of ways to help those that need a hand-up in life.

So as the seasons change let us not change our commitment and love toward the homeless for one day it may be us in dire need.

Each day making a difference in another persons life whether they are homeless or not, let us all do more than we can. WWJD?

Wandering through the government jungle I came across a animal I thought have changed its ways but haven’t. I shared my thoughts to him so he can see the “right” way and change his spots if he may. Here in the Jungle we elephants have a great time as we try to get rid of the elephant costumed rhino’s. and other creatures of woe. Having national health care a radical idea??? Lol England has it so does Canada that is why they all come here to the good ole USA to get there surgery done.

In other words it doesn't work. As for a radical idea how about doing away with Medicare etc. and return medicine to Physicians and Patients and Private Insurers. Wow, now that's Radical!!!

Of course when you add in an Obama and a dash of Edwards maybe a Pelosi of Kerry then you have the recipe of communism and unfreedom. It’s time to pack their liberal baggage and get someone that wants to run this country like a business that cares. Wow what a Radical idea!!!

What are we going to do about the Poor and homeless?

As the democrats try to seek the White house the question is that government just doesn’t get it about where we need to be as a nation.

There is a quote saying “And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.”. Matthew 22:21 Mark 12:17 But we have rendered (given) to Caesar/government.

The church use to be the educational system as well as the welfare. Now the government has now taken over thanks to churches just wanting to be a nice Sunday only weekend diversion.

It’s got to change back. Real people not a system needs to help those who need real help.

At 07/07/2007 we had a bunch of people jumping on the Prayer Wagon and while prayer is good it’s not the only thing that we are to do to help others. If prayer was an end to our needs then Yeshua/Jesus died in vain. He not only prayed, he touched people in a real and tangible way.

As we are G-D’s representatives here on the earth we must get out and help, with real help not just a band-aid.

It’s so sad here in Orangeburg there is only three places but only two days of the week you can get a no cost hot meal. While sometimes the food is not enough but it’s a place to go eat.

Tuesday it’s at Redeemer Episcopal Church at 12 Noon.
Thursday it’s at Salvation Army at 11 AM and then at First Baptist at 1PM

We use to have others but they are ether permanently closed or closed fro the summer and then they only give out Soup. Soup is not enough for people with real lives.

It’s sad that there is no evening “community Kitchens” for working poor families.

It’s sad that only 2 days a week you can get a no cost meal for those who need a real hand up.

With government feeling the pinch of voters to reduce taxes (which is not what the democrats want) the private sector needs to stand up and help.

They way to do a Community Kitchen is forget about your selfish quotas and bias and cook plenty of food and yes even present the Gospel in a real way not just in a sermon but sitting with the people and find out where they are in life and then helping them in real and tangible ways not just standing at a mural in downtown and have a “I can be seen by everybody” prayer meeting. As for praying in a group didn’t Yeshua/Jesus say
Matthew 6:5-7 (King James Version)
5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Let us not be seen to pretend to do good but rather only let G-D see the good we do.
So when that great day comes G-D will say enter into the joy of the L-rd. AMEN

Another Jesus Movement??? Yah Right LOL

Here is my post to a “Christian Magazine” that claimed that one preacher is trying to start a revival across the USA and he want it to be like the “original” Jesus Movement” of the 1960s 1970s.

It behooves me the audacity of gentiles to claim to remake history and claim their brand of “religion of super spirituality and forget the poor and homeless, beats all other beliefs hands down!

Below is my response to the article. I am not going to quote the source. It doesn’t matter where the article is it’s just another person that is misguided it what it means to be a true believer in G-D.

Their idea is to have religion with out sacrifice of your comfort zone and not serving the poor and homeless.

Without further adieu here is my response

Once again the Charismatics Lou & Lee , seem to miss the calling of G-D and what really happened in the 1960s & 1970s. This is not a flame but an observance of people missing the mark and not having the true understanding of history. Get Steve to explain it to you, he was there and seen some of it for himself.

The Jesus Movement was not just a “movement” or a revival which is a false word but rather a breaking down of walls of people helping each other, helping the poor who we would never have unless the “world “didn’t start first. Why it is the "church" is always in the catch-up mode with the "world"

It was the “Hippie Movement” that started to make a difference in people’s lives by feeding the poor and helping with free medical clinics. That was their “gospel”.

Its time the charismatics and non-charismatic start doing what G-D told them to do in Matthew 25 of feeding those who have nothing to feed themselves.

The Church as it is called have tried to be so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good.

If You really want to see revival and want to see another Jesus Movement then get off your praying hinny and in Love, prayer with open arms help those that need open help not a folded hands of prayer and get rid of it’s all about Me and Jesus syndrome that has shoved out the real Jesus/Yeshua out the door.

Like the quote “the poor you will always have with you” yes that is because we have not reached out to them with real help and not just placate false spiritual help.

Stop judging others that are having a hard time making it in your “false spiritual society”. Help in Love, prayer and real physical help; give to those that need help not your judgment call.

The church of today is a far cry from the church of the Apostles time and is mostly a joke that the world laughs at.

If you want change, if you want revival then fall on your face repent before a holy G-d and then get up and start serving those that it may be uncomfortable of serving.

Sure some have gotten themselves in their place of misery but that didn’t stop Jesus from serving them.

WWJD, What would Jesus do and then do the same, for are we not to be His representatives here on the earth???

Is there freedom on the 4th of July in Orangeburg South Carolina or anywhere else?

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July the day that the Declaration of independence was signed in Philadelphia.

Does it mean anything here in Orangeburg?

It’s for most is another day to spend time drinking and eating and forgetting the poor and homeless.

To a homeless person holidays is just another day for places of refuge to be closed the Library, CCMO, etc. its sad that a homeless /poor person is not invited to these activities.

Many homeless/poor people are veterans and have paid the price both physically and mentally for this country but tomorrow is just a day to shun them away.

The police will be called to get them out of “our neighborhood"

So it goes life in Orangeburg, South Carolina

Once again Homeless people are under attack via politicians as well as muggers.

I could list the news articles here but go to our friend’s blog and see the new headline box at http://thehomelessguy.blogspot.com/

Over and over politicians who have no idea on how to help homeless and poor people are rather making the problem worse.

Rule #1 let private people, private organizations and Jewish and Christian organizations do the work and the politicians keep there nose out of it!!!

There is an organization called Christ Central in Columbia, South Carolina is doing a better job as long as they keep from getting government money.

While government and United Way money is tempting to private welfare organizations it comes with string tied to their whims and restrictions and as far as I am concern is what is causing the downfall to Salvation Army etc. also when a non-profit org becomes multi-religion it falters from where it started from. How can I make such statements because I have seen it happen for 35 years.

Real People need to be helping Real People. Matthew 25:31-46

Q: Why do many Republican politicians claim to follow Jesus yet vote against any bill that would help the poor?
I thought Jesus taught that we should help the least among us. Also, why do Republicans claim to be pro life, yet they tend to be staunch supporters of the death penalty. The whole Republican platform seems to clash with Christian philosophy. What a buncha hypocritical flip floppers

A: Apparently you are getting the Republican and the democratic parties mixed up.

The GOP puts more money back in the hands of people and not takes away like the democrats do. Due to higher taxes both parents have to work and leave poor Johnny to his own devices.

The government is not the answer for the poor and never has been and never will.

As Yeshua/Jesus said the poor we will always have with us and so it is.

It’s up to the people personally one on one to help those who have needs.

Franklin Graham the soon of the evangelist Billy Graham has Samaritan Purse. http://www.samaritanspurse.org/ There is many fine people in this world that reach out daily like Loaves and fishes to see that people have a good meal.
http://www.loavesandfishesmn.org/ If we took all the waste away and duplicate services the government does as well, and put the welfare of the nation in the hands of the people that truly know how to help instead of high paid bureaucrats then maybe you see that the enemy is not the GOP but the liberals that are bent to try to control your life and liberty.

So the question is what are “You” doing to help the poor or are you just one of “Those” who go around saying the sky is falling the sky is falling just to hear your self and think you are doing good? As for me we serve meals every Thursday and Tuesday to those who need a hot meal. We try to get others in the community to help but the democrats are too selfish to help.

Oh by the way I am a high official in the GOP.

It’s amazing that people will try to hurt homeless people and those of us that that have long been an advocate for them.

It’s amazing that people will try to hurt homeless people and those of us that that have long been an advocate for them.

Recently at a democratic debate event the homeless people and poor was shoved away from the want to-bee presidential candidates. They had to project an image that this is a great “American city and a great college.

While money rolled in to spiffy up the college, no money went to help the truly needy that the Demoncratic claims to care about.

The homeless and poor were kept on the “other side of the railroad track". It’s so sad that as the political party that claims to help those who are the have not’s they weren’t helped at all.

The college came out on top with the floodgate of money but those who were hungry, sick and poor was left out in the cold and dark.

The candidates didn’t even cross over the railroad track to see the local grocery store which is located in the poor area.

The local SC statehouse representative half-heartedly said he wanted to get the candidates to come over and take a store tour he told the store manager and I, but they wouldn’t come. I think maybe they were told it best not cross over the railroad track, for they would of seen what their agenda and politics have caused.

With the demoncrates trying to raise the minimum wage as well as trying to raise the tax rate on the “rich” (who hire poor people) makes more have not’s in this world and more money and prestige to politician’s. The politically under educated public that don’t understand how badly they are being hurt by the demoncrates party they continue to vote demoncrates but the tide is changing in this county.

Recently I asked a question to a high Demoncratic party official that is clearly in the $200,000 and above tax bracket how much money he pays, he replied by saying “too much”. But yet he cheers the party on to tax the rich more. It’s like financial suicide he can’t seem to understand it’s him that will pay more of course he recently closed his business, need I say more?

Stand firm against those who want to tax and spend claiming to care. As Bill Clinton has been quoted as saying “I feel your pain” Does he really? No he is a Multi-Million as so is his wife Hillary who on the way out of here changed planes 3 times as news reports stated because the plane was not fancy and big enough for her. I think she changed planes more times than see changed her underwear.

Beware of them and let's hold these politicians and Demoncratic party to the homeless and poor lifestyle maybe then they let us all have the freedom to own our own businesses etc. To help each other rise against poverty the old fashion American way, we pulled ourselves up with our own bootstraps by the power of the loving G-D of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob, AMEN! © By Rabbi Dale All Rights Reserved.

Some People will always be the Bum

Some People will always be the Bum

We have one person that is in a wheelchair and has since his young years been a bum a real bum it’s sad to say. He has one leg now of which he lost it due to his own negligence.

He sits all day in front of the store trying to “sell” his bunny and Jesus pictures that are at the art lever of a 3 year old.

What can you do to get people of this statue to be productive level where they are beneficial to themselves as well to society as a whole?

The Bible talks about this and it suggest that you take a rod and beat their back with it.

This person draws a large disability check for the last few years and has a history of drug usage.

It’s sad that people equate this person top others who really need help. The money he makes off his pictures is as much and sometimes more than his welfare check.

He is able to work, but refuses to he also has a local trade college degree and refuses to use it to better himself.

I have a are a friend that has no legs and who is trying to get on the college football team here . So forgive me when I don’t feel sorry for this bum selling poor quality pictures to unsuspecting people that don’t know what he can do for if he wanted to he could work. When my friend refuses to be a bum and working hard to have a great future even with his true disability.

The bitterness of homeless is not seen as you said till one is in the thick of it just like finding out that your lifemate is after you say “I do”.

People don’t understand how it is to have to try to spent the whole day looking for work, food, a place to safely use the phone or toilet. There out to be a 6 month experience for others to be homeless when they get 25 then maybe they would not just sneer away from others as they ask for help.

The sneer awayers are not just white but comes in all colors and economic brackets, and of all different religions not just “Christians”.

When you give, give with an open heart and hand. Give more than you want and give with the Love of G-d. Look for opportunity to help those who have real need and bless them more than they can even understand. Join with others to help a person and help each one become stable and productive again for the betterment of all of us.

Here in our “fair” city we had two missions close down both due to the “owners” misdoings the last remaining one ought to be shut down and some of us are trying to somehow open one or more that will really help and not just take them for their money.

If people even got to stay at one and then really got to see how bitter it all is then maybe things will change instead of money thrown to fix things.

Bottom-line as Kevin says you still got to eat and you still have to sleep it’s the lesser choice of two evils. Eat or starve or sleep in danger in the mission or sleep out in the open in more danger and harassment of the cops etc. This is waht you call “freedom of choice” Lol

We need to help others better themselves but not at the loss of their dignity nor forced them to change.

Learn to be a champion for the homeless & poor

When things go wrong and they are out in the heat or cold its not the time to give advice on what they should do.

We don’t need to be armchair quarterbacks in the life of someone whose life is failing apart.

To be a champion does not mean to tell what to do an how to do it. People know themselves and know what their limits and needs are.

Life is hard and when you feel everything slipping the last thing you need is someone trying to force his or her way on you.

Rule of being a champion of the homeless and poor is:

Be a real listener. Tell them what you think they said back to them. We tend to hear what we want to hear and not what they are trying to communicate with us.
Work within their frame of reference not yours. It is their life not yours. When the day is over you can go home to a comfortable house and food on the table, they have none of this and their life is unmentionable sadness.
See what resources and talents they have that would benefit them and show them what possibilities are but not to make them chose but open the possibilities and let them choose.

May you rise to the challenge as Yeshua /Jesus asked us all to do. Matthew 25: 31 – 46

10975090 Seconds 'Til Christmas and not a creature is saving not even the mouse. Ma is ironing the kids new school wear and I am thinking I got to get another 2 jobs to pay for this house and the gifts before Christmas, I am such a Yutz.

If this story sounds like you its not to late to try to save before you become homeless.

Many homeless people I have counseled have had over spent their income and then the unexpected happen and on the streets they went and many are still there.

These steps are not eat bread and water but rather taking the time to curtail waste and greed.

Part One - Your Tithe

First rule of thumb is give to G-D first.

This does not mean you have to give every part of your tithe (10%) to the church you go to. This will not make many church boards happy but the scriptures talk about giving to G-D not to an organization that they themselves cannot control their own spending.

Accountability and Stewardship is the key words here,

The purpose of giving is not to build another larger comfortable building so we can sit for an hour on our gluts, but rather to go out and serve G-D and HIS creation

If your church property is not being used except over an hour or so a week then you have wasted expenditures and have wasted G-D’s money.

Do not look to the formula that if I give $100 G-D will give me $10,000 this is all fraud. You give to give not give to get.

Our life is to be as action as Yeshua/Jesus did. So go and do as Yeshua/Jesus did.

None of this means you cannot give to your church or congregational home but rather see that the money is spent well and not for creature comforts.

Sadly many churches want to get rid of high cost programs that help flesh and blood like community kitchens that feed the homeless and poor. Even some do not want that kind coming in “they just scare me” as Pastor and church members say.

The church I have been a member of for over four years have now for the most part no longer personally help the homeless, and poor. Approximately 1/8 of the collection goes to a pastoral discretionary fund that has no accountability.

This seems to be the current trend all across America where we see big name evangelist holding big time meetings with humongous bills to pay for TV time etc. and none of this goes to help flesh and blood.

It is no wonder why many give less to their church than the 10% G-D requires. Due to Christendom’s overspending and a mega-church mentality we just don’t feel like contributing to this fraud.

If G-D is real to you go out with others putting your tithe into action and not just so the pastor can have a new car.

It never seizes to amaze me that in the third world they are not concern on creature comforts. They have church ran feeding programs, schools, medical clinics; their focus is to help those who need real physical and spiritual needs and not to nice programs to get people to donate.

When you look at your tithe money as an investment in G-D’s world, and not for comfort then the fruit of your tithe money becomes real and this is the first step to making your money work for you.

Next time “Investments”, what you do “now” will help you “then”.

Homeless People are People too

Does the rise of murders of homeless people by adolescent youth and others sadden us? The last assumed murder is Tasha aka Little Bit in Nashville Tennessee which the city just had a Virgil for her http://thehomelessguy.blogspot.com/2006/08/tonight-vigil-for-murdered-homeless.html

Look at the nation papers and see that homeless person being harassed by police, government officials and murdered by others. This is not an act of random violence but rather a planned execution to hurt a part of our society that cannot defend themselves.

These words are not just rumblings of an old man but rather through 34 years of research and life, I have concluded that people have a false idea of whom a homeless person is and through ignorance, hate and fear will falsely assume the reasons for them being homeless.

When ignorance , hate and fear festers people will react with spit, or “hey buddy get a job” or even attacking then to the point of murder as we have seen recently in Nashville and all across the nation.

Nashville is not far from the Capital City, hate, and violence may even be in our own house.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are almost upon us and is the season of helping others but let us remember to take care of each other now rich or poor and not wait for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Let us remember the homeless and poor, by reaching out in person, and not hide behind a charitable organization to help.

If we are to make Columbia a great capital city and South Carolina a great state, we cannot forget our poorest citizens. Let us not allow the government to round them up like cattle but rather let us work with them one on one to enable them a hand-up with love rather than a hand out.

Bottom line is you end up being homeless if you do not play the game called “living in the south.”

Without paid work, you have nothing.

One thing I learned about the south and other places is that many people‘s tradition (both black and white people both love to play games. These games are not Monopoly or Scrabble but rather to being a master over one who may not “look right” be from here etc.etc.

Another game is “let’s get them for free”. This one is a real favorite of the people here. They will work you maybe and then try to not pay you at all.

I and others have many talents and would be a great asset to a company but here in this city and area if you are not from here they want you to beg and plead for work etc. but mostly they spread the word to not give “so and so” a job.

Most of these people in one way or another have a one, two, or tree century linage to this place and they tend to remind you of it not exactly in words but in the way, they treat you. It does not matter if you are black or white. It is that you are from here and it is who “your Daddy is” that place prominence here. That Of course if your daddy was maybe a little unwealthy you are looked down upon.

The game is called “living in the south.”

Let me end this with there is some “nice” people here but even then they too will play the game for its expected of them and nobody wants to be talked bad about here its just not “southern”.

Many even the good people will wake up after their death and find that maybe they should have done Matthew 25 32 – 40 but now they have to deal with Matthew 25 41 – 46. It is so sad they should have had a deep personal relationship with Yeshua/Jesus but now they will have a deep personal relationship with satan for all of eternity

Well it is another day in the homeless neighborhood

I was just reading how the Sheriff of Nottingham AKA Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of NYC wants to get rid those pesky little Homeless people and PUSH them into “affordable housing” instead of the cardboard boxes etc under bridges etc now. (Can anyone tell me what "affordable housing" is in NYC is?) I guess he has to make himself appear good since its election time again.

Here is an ideal Michael how about going to Lowe’s and Home Depot and buying them lumber etc so they can build them a home where they please,

If you want to help, Michael let the churches, private people help, and gets rid of the government fancy furniture and high taxes that drive people into homelessness.

The people of this country pulled your beehind (NYC) out of trouble at least three times in my lifetime and you still don’t understand that using the government to “fix” the homeless problem don’t work, it never has and never will,

I am starting to wonder if you really understand finances and the stock market as well.

Now where is Robin Hood when you need him, Maybe Superman can find him, it seems to take a Jewish Man to get things done, espically in NYC.

Changing Your Life
It has been said before, but it is worth repeating: the homeless problem is the problem the housed have with the homeless.I was just reading a terrific little blog item about a kid in Washington that had managed to set himself up as a computer consultant using a Starbucks wifi network while homeless. When Starbucks was closed, he spent the night at Kinko's. He scrounged for food and computer equipment. He worked for tips. He kept himself very clean. He surfed the internet for girls. In short, he had created a lifestyle. The blogger who was writing about him gave him a substantial amount of money hoping he would change his life. Of course, he couldn't understand why the wifi kid spent it on computer equipment.The blogger couldn't understand it because he refused to acknowledge that this man had a legitimate and sustainable lifestyle. When given money, he reinvested it in that lifestyle, as any responsible, reasonable person does. The blogger was angry at him. Why, oh why, didn't he struggle to get a home? The man was already home.Homelessness changes you. So does having a house. Your priorities become the priorities of the extant lifestyle. What you do with money has much to do with how you are living. All lifestyles are investments, and we continue to add resources in an effort to improve their performance. Abandoning a lifestyle is something we never do without a serious push. Once a lifestyle is comfortable, why should it be abandoned?This is another reason that charity is so unsavory. It comes from a position of superiority. The charitable feel they have a right to determine the goals, purposes, and uses of their charity. It lacks dignity. I don't mean for the recipient. I mean it is not dignified to try to direct the lives of others, to be so involved in the details of other lives. It's a failure to understand boundaries.

Something to realize about giving charity to homeless or impoverished people is that they will use that charity for the means that they see immediately necessary. My mother’s co-workers at the community college she works for pooled together some money and bought a car for this girl that had to take a bus 4 hours a day to go to school and couldn’t have a job because of it. The girl turned around and sold the car to purchase something (I can’t remember) for her family. She didn’t see that the car was an enabler for her to go to school and work and eventually strengthen her position in society. It was all about improving her situation in the present.

This is the same city that has been reported by the same news of the harassment of Police officers and I have repeatedly tried to get the Nashville Police commander to explain why the Nashville “finest has harassed and even brutalized the homeless and now won’t respond to questions about this new attack.

It is those who swore to protect the citizen’s are the one’s we need protection from now? Young adults beat upon and even kill the homeless, can we accept this behavior can we accept this crime?

It is time to hold our elected leaders, police and young people accountable. This needs to be done now not later, or the future is not ours

Now Homeless - An Angel's House Burned Down

I was at the place where Sylvia works at where I pay one of my monthly bills. I noticed that Sylvia and Glenda her co-worker was not at the teller line. I mention where was Sylvia and Glenda at, I thought they were taking a late lunch. I was told that Sylvia’s house burned and was still burning as I stood there in the teller line and Glenda took her to Sylvia’s house.

The answered surprise me for you think that as “Saintly” she is that she would not lose her home in a fire.

Whoever reading this blog probably do not know Sylvia but I do. She is one that never said a bad word. She has blessed me with a bottle of cold water and a peach on a hot summer day that I had to walk all the way there to pay my bill.

At times of our life for whatever reason that G-D in his infinite wisdom and love allowed this tragedy to befall Sylvia.

I am with a sad heart that this has happened to such a wonderful friend and fellow servant in G-D.

Many times in our lives, people lose their home, and become homeless some to fire and some to evil property owners. We may never know why it befalls that person to lose their home. Some lose their home due to G-D’s judgment on their life but for Sylvia I just cry and wonder why.

Life in this town has been hard on me for I am not from here (read my other blogs about this town) many people try to make your life miserable if you are not from here but Sylvia is one of the very few that does make a difference in helping others lives and all I can say is

Why Sylvia’s house L-rd why?

The following is excerpted from HS/C/15/INF.7 - Introduction entitled "Towards A Housing Rights Strategy: Practical Contributions By UNCHS (Habitat) On Promoting, Ensuring And Protecting The Full Realization Of The Human Right To Adequate Housing"
Specific groups requiring special attention within a housing rights framework, according to the Special Rapporteur on Housing Rights, include:
(a) homeless citizens (no permanent residence);
(b) pavement dwellers (permanent residence on pavement);
(c) slum dwellers (residents of informal settlements, tenements, squatter areas, etc.);
(d) public-sector tenants (residents of social housing units);
(e) private-sector tenants (residents of private-sector housing units);
(f) owner-occupiers (own and reside in own home);
(g) victims of eviction, demolition, natural disasters etc. (temporarily or permanently displaced and dehoused);
(h) workers (employees of employers responsible for the provision of housing);
(i) families (families of every size or status);
(j) women (all women of any status);
(k) children (all children of any status);
(l) disabled persons (all physically and mentally disabled persons, including persons with chronic health problems);
(m) migrant workers (non-nationals employed in third countries);
(n) elderly persons (all persons over 60 years);
(o) refugees and asylum seekers (all accepted refugees and asylum seekers legally within third countries);
(p) low-income groups (all groups living under, at or near to the accepted poverty line in any society);

First a message from our G-D

"Don’t judge or you will be judged.!"

Matthew 7:1 - 4

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
